God has been working in India for centuries. Historical writings of a number of social and spiritual reformers in India point to the One True God who is against caste, who cares for the poor and oppressed, and who can sympathize with the burdened condition of the masses. Phule called this God Bali Raja. Kabir considered this God his only hope for redemption. Although Ambedkar was a Buddhist, he spent his life devoted to social causes that are centered in God's love for the peoples of India.
