Footwashing India
Honoring the Least
Not that long ago, it was illegal for a lower-caste person to touch or even allow their shadow to fall upon a higher-caste person in India. While no longer illegal, this rigid physical segregation is still very much in force.
Jesus showed us how to overcome barriers like this. He knelt down and washed the feet of His disciples. For the past five years, Truthseekers has modeled the example of Jesus each November and now has added a spring trip. Westerners and Indian social activists and spiritual leaders gather together to tangibly express God's love as we wash the feet of the oppressed and abused in lower-caste neighborhoods and villages.
Footwashing Ceremony
Come join us at Thanksgiving or in March and be a part of Footwashing ceremonies to honor God's image reflected in India's low-caste and Dalit population. For dates, cost and more information, visit our North American Truthseekers website: truthseekersna.org
